I had the privilege of serving as the Production Stage Manager for Personhood, a dance festival at the University of Texas at El Paso. The festival featured two captivating performances: Human(hood), showcasing students, faculty, and guests from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) in our mainstage theater, and Earth(hood), presented in our studio theater with the guest artists Brotherhood and one UTEP faculty member.
Human(hood) took place in the mainstage theater, bringing together the creative talents of students, faculty, and guests from UACH.
I served as the Stage Manager for Earth(hood), overseeing all aspects of the production. Earth(hood) ran for three days in our studio theater, featuring Brotherhood and one UTEP faculty member, following a three-day technical rehearsal period.
In addition to my role as Production Stage Manager, I contributed as a lighting designer for a dance piece in Human(hood), balancing design and tech responsibilities while out of town. To see my lighting design work please click the button below.
Earth(hood) Cue Sheets
Cue sheets were created with the lighting designer during tech as looks were created. As this show was guest artists with only a 3 day tech, we built cues as we went through the dance piece. As per the request of the lighting designer, the colors on the cue sheet were to help differentiate each piece in the cue sheet while they worked.
